Near fine, cloth, first edition. No DJ. Gilt lettering on spine is clear and bright. Some spotting visible on spine of volume I when held at an angle. Tissue over frontispiece has a 1/4 inch closed tear in volume I. Tissue is shaken and creased in volume II. Shadowing of tissue on title page in both volumes. Inscription and bookplate inside front covers of both volumes. Light creasing to top and bottom of spine on volume II. Otherwise pristine. Pages still uncut. No creases or markings.
