Green endpapers with black silhouette decorations at bottom edge. Front free endpaper has bequest book plate to Appleby College from Raymond H. Massey. A collection of French-Canadian folk tales, including: The Legend of the Percee Rock; The Legend of the Phantom Fleet; The Midnight Mass; The Priest Who Lost One Hundred Years; A Ghost for Forty Dollars; A Tale of the Loup-Garou; How the Devil Got his Cat; The Fiddler of Mardi Gras; The Demon of Anticosti; The Man Who Danced with the Northern Lights; Ti-Jean and the Unicorn, etc. Very light browning in the margins of the pages, slight separation between a few page gathering - pages are held firmly in the binding, some minor fading to the colour of the front free endpaper, some light creasing/tiny tear at the top edge of pages 21 to 32, a slight bump at the top corner of the pages, moderate browning to the edges of the text block including some small foxing marks, light to moderate edge wear, areas of darkening on the boards and on the spine label, a small shallow bump at the fore-edge of the front board.
