Beschreibung
198 pages. "The first comprehensive study of Bermudian Antiques 1612-1830. As cedar was indigenous, most furniture was made of it until Mahogany was imported c. 1700. Includes 458 black and white photographs and measurements from homes all over Bermuda. These show that although the English, Americans and Spanish influenced Bermudian design, the Bermudians made furniture and silver distinctly and charmingly their own." - from dust jacket. Book clean and unmarked with moderate wear. Binding intact. Numerous spots of fading near and along top and bottom edges of green cloth-covered boards. (the only other copy of this title we have seen was similar in appearance.) Bright gilt lettering upon spine. Dust jacket, now preserved in glossy new archival-grade Brodart, bears above-average wear and several closed tears. A sound copy. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 817a4354
