Color Plates & b&w drawings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 194 pages; 1923 A. L. Burt Company. HC/DJ 1st edition. Soundly bound in original blue cloth with decorative lettering in black to cover and spine and with original boldly illustrated color pictorial dust jacket. A few faults of the book include some light offset toning to the endpages where clippings may have been laid in and some darker offset toning to the copyright and pictorial foreword page where some acidic clippings were definitely left for some time. A scattered number of the recipes have some pencil notes in the margins relating to portions and preparation. One of the color plate had come loose and is ruffled along the edge. Very handsomely and charmingly illustrated by Colborne with jazz age / art deco influence color plates sjowing plated desserts agains floral and decorative backgrounds. Also with Colbornes attractive line drawing chapter headpieces. Dust jacket fronmt panel is bold and clean; the jacket is lightly shelf rubbed with some shallow nicks at spine ends and a longer closed tear rear pane; light to moderate foxing to jacket rear panel and flaps. Snugly bound with some toning and mild notes byt a very handsome shelf presence in the scarce and very attractive original dust jacket. VG-/VG+. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 51288
