Bound in light brown cloth with gilt stamped text. Includes an index and a large fold-out panoramic map of "The Grand Canyon of the Colorado." Pages and text block edges are uniformly age-tanned, but text is sharp and readable. Some small dark spots on text block fore edge. Corners of cover and top of spine are lightly bumped. Gilt lettering on cover is faded but is still sharp on spine. There is a small wear mark on the front cover (see image). Spine is straight and uncreased and binding is sturdy. Other than age-tanning, pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket shows wear and chips and is now enclosed in a clear protective cover.
