Limited editions of 275 small-paper copies (there were also 75 large-paper copies). 25 works in 35 volumes, printed parchment wrappers, most title-pages in red and black, small 8vo, 18 cm, various paginations,(between 32 and 102 pp per volume). A good group of 1880's reprints of mainly 16th and 17th century English literature, but including some translations, that were published in small and attractive editions by Edmund Goldsmid and are now uncommon. The works (all in English) are from two series, Bibliotheca Curiosa and Collectanea Adamantaea, and comprise 25 works in 35 volumes, all limited editions of 275 small-paper copies (from total editions of 350 copies). All are in the original printed parchment wrappers and the group is held in 6 contemporary cloth-covered boxes, with marbled paper sides and linings, and leather title-labels. Edmund Goldsmid, who published the series and edited most of the works himself, is probably best known for his bibliographies of the Aldine and Elzevier presses, translated and abridged from those by Renouard and Willems.
