First edition with cut paper signature laid in at easily removable plastic pocket at front endpaper that reads "For Phil ganan with the best! Jack O'Connor", near fine hardcover is tight and clean while showing some bumping to bottom corners, in a very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows mild soil, rubbing and wrinkling mainly at edges, a closed tear along small portion of fore edge of front panel and couple of tiny open chips and short closed tears at top and bottom edges. 371 pages with a set of black & white plates and index that follows. Still an attractive copy in jacket with the added bonus of the author's inscribed signature on a separate piece of paper laid in of the firearms classic. Cut inscription.
