Beschreibung
A smart first edition of this Biggles adventure from Captain W. E. Johns. First edition, first impression. The seventieth book in the series. With a colour frontispiece. Biggles and his team are on the trail of a yacht that sailed away and never came back. With no clues and the whole world to choose from, they embark on an adventure as exciting as anything in their history of successful scoops. Written by William Earl Johns, an English First World War pilot and writer of adventure stories, who wrote under the pen name Capt. W. E. Johns. He is best known for creating the fictional air-adventurer Biggles. Illustrated by Leslie Stead, a British artist and illustrator who worked on many of the books in this series. In the original yellow cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light chipping resulting in minor loss to the head and tail of the spine. Light sunning to the spine and the odd small mark to the panels. A 2" closed tear to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the extremities. Very Good Indeed. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 900T60
