Illustrated throughout with B&W drawings. Text block pages clean, unmarked, binding tight and square; dust spotting at top page edges, stain at bottom and general mild staining at all edges. Blue cloth boards, black lettering, mostly clean but fading at edges, shelf wear at extremities, sunned spine with small bits missing from cloth cover with all lettering intact. The articles were originally written for the Progressive Grocer magazine, but they proved so popular that food merchants requested them to be published in book form. They describe the various approaches Bill Bartlett applied to his profitable business, not only convincingly but interesting as well.
