Emma Louisa Turner (1867-1940) was an English ornithologist and pioneering bird photographer, who spent part of each year in Norfolk. She took up photography at the age of 34 after meeting wildlife photography Richard Kearton. 'Miss Turner has written a very entertaining and at the same time ornithologically interesting account of her experiences as official "watcher " for Scolt Head during 1924 and 1925. Her trials were many . But Miss Turner is a philosopher with a keen sense of humour, and she triumphed over difficulties. .
