Bailey, Director, and Robert J. Niedrach, Curator of Birds, of the Denver Museum of Natural History, have shared field experiences in Colorado and far places of the world for more than forty years. Their interest in birds and photography has been a life-time avocation, and through the years they have roamed Colorado from prairies to mountain peaks at all seasons. In Birds of Colorado they have endeavored to present copy of interest to amateur bird observers and other field naturalists, but some of the information should be of value to professional ornithologists as well. An attempt has been made to give early arrival and late departure dates, where and when to look for each species, its relative abundance, and nesting habits of summer residents of the state.Large very heavy book that may incur additonal charges to some locations.
