The colour of the red cloth-bound boards is strong, unfaded and even with no dents, scratches or bumps; the board edges are straight and the corners sharp. The text block is square and tightly bound and the edges are spotless. There is a previous resale price pencilled at the top of the ffep but no other marks or writing. The dust jacket has no tears or unwanted creases; the black and white photograph of the three main party leaders (Harold Wilson, Sir Alec Douglas-Home and Jo Grimond) is clear and well defined and the colours of the title lettering are also strong and clear.
