Illustrated with engravings in black and white. Bound in heavy weave red cloth with title, author and portrait of a young boy stamped on the front cover. Spine is worn, slanted and faded. Covers are bowed. Corners slightly rolled. There is staining in the gutters that appears to be from binding glue. The book is very sturdy and readable in spite of these flaws. Name of previous owner on the ffe.T here is light foxing in the beginning of the book and the text and illustrations are generally clean and unmarked. Life on the American frontier.
