Butterflies (The New Natuarlist) by E.B. Ford. First edition, second impression. 368pp. Previously owned by Surgeon Vice Admiral Sir Godfrey James Milton-Thompson KBE. Formerly Surgeon-General to the British Army. This book was awarded to Admiral Milton-Thompson as the winner of the Eastbourne College 'Arnold Natural History Prize' in 1947. This book is in good condition. The green cloth boards are slightly bumped to the corners and in places on the edges. The spine head and tail edges are bumped and slightly curled. The spine is sunned and slightly discoloured. The boards are to a lesser extent sunned to the edges. There is a small black pen dot to the rear board. The ffep holds an inscription to G Milton Thompson as winner of the prize. The pages are yellowed with age. The end papers have some light foxing. The closed page block is slightly grubby due to shelfwear and has light foxing. The binding is in good condition. There is no dust jacket. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 274
