First edition. Nineteen brown handmade paper leaves with poems and illustrations printed in red; bound with-in tan covers made from Joshua wood and hand-stamped with titles and a cactus illustration in dark brown; brown leather ties. A handmade book of poems and rust-colored vignettes by the silent film actor/poet Charles Dill, as King Zany. From 1918 through 1929 Charles Dill appeared in shorts and in silent films as King Zany with many of the stars of the era, including Fatty Arbuckle, Mary Astor, Louise Brooks, Hoot Gibson, and others. " After a horse-riding accident, King Zany became an invalid and spent his last years in Pearblossom, California, where he dedicated himself to writing poetry."--IMDB.
