This is a UK first edition hardcover printing of this title published by Cecil Palmer in 1920. The photos show the condition better than I can describe, however overall I am grading as Good condition for its age, but it's more of a reference copy of shelf filler than a collector's copy. The book has a straight spine and pushed corner tips, with scuffed spine ends. The jacket is grubby as you can see. The binding is tight and the text block firm, however the seam is starting to split between the end papers and boards, although the text block is still firmly attached to the boards. The page edges are toned but the interior text is clean, aside from toned end papers. The copyright page confirms this edition was printed in 1920 and this is illustrated throughout with black and white illustrations. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 015751

I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. ALL UK parcels are tracked. if you live outside the UK tracking is NOT provided unless you choose priority mail. PRIORITY MAIL TRACKING IS IMMEDIATELY UPDATED otherwise I will only update ABE with UK tracking details on request, and only when 10 working days has passed. There will be times when, due to the value of the book, I will insist on priority mail and this will be clearly stated in my listing. If you ignore this, your order will be refused.
