FIRST EDITION (1936), small oblong booklet, 150 x 232 mm, 6 x 9¼ inches, white card covers with blue, black and white illustration to upper cover, 20 pages, 6 full page and 14 smaller hilarious line drawings. Small pale stain and a couple of minute spots to upper cover, staples just slightly rusty, otherwise contents clean and bright. A very good copy of an uncommon advertising brochure by Heath Robinson. "In 1920 Heath Robinson embarked on the second major advertising collaboration of his career, with Connolly Brothers (Curriers) Ltd, … the largest producers of motor hides in Europe". Beare gives a fascinating account of Robinson's association with this firm (Advertising, page 23 - 26 and page 182, No. 25).
