Needham's copy of "Canada's Pacific Salmon" extracted from the Canadian Geographical Journal and with his name inked on the front cover, 23 pp., together with a complete copy of the Canadian Geographical Journal, published in March 1952, 46 pp. Haig-Brown's essay "Canada's Pacific Salmon" was first published in the Journal and then at nearly the same time published separately as a monograph by the Department of Fisheries of Canada. Paul R. Needham was the son of James G. Needham, distinguished Professor of Biology at Cornell. Paul Needham was a Professor of Ichthyology and Fisheries Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Color text drawings by Tommy Brayshaw. Text illustrations. This was Haig-Brown's plea to conserve Canada's Pacific Salmon along with a discussion of British Columbia's commercial fishing industry. The Journal is bound in pictorial wrappers with black titles.
