The sale comprised: Ceramics and Glass (Lots 1-93); Silver, Watches and Jewellery (101-299); Pictures (356-428); Byron Artefacts : A Collection of Byron and Wentworth Family Artefacts (451-573); Collectors' Items, Works of Art and Clocks (601-671) Furniture (701-747). The catalogue includes a useful genealogical table and two pages of notes on the Byron and Wentworth peerages and family relationships by Derek Wise. From the catalogue: "The present collection of Byron, Milbanke, Lovelace, Wentworth, Blunt and Lytton artefacts, including items relating directly to Lord Byron, has passed by descent through the family including the poet's wife Anne Isabella (Lady Byron), his daughter Augusta Ada King (Countess of Lovelace), his granddaughter Anne Isabella Noel-King (Lady Anne Blunt) and great granddaughter Judith Anne Dorothea Blunt-Lytton (Lady Wentworth). In 1957, under the will of the 16th Baroness Wentworth, it passed to her Land Agent, Mr Gladstone Moore and thence by descent. " Some lots with manuscript prices added, otherwise Very Good.
