Octavo. 129 pages. One of Nebraska's most interesting writers whose correspondence with Ezra Pound was sold to the New York Public. (Others are at Yale). She was a friend of Loren Eiseley. She was the interpreter for Chilean Nobel laureate Gabriela Mistral. Laid in our four typed poems. (1) "Shake Hand Forever", 2 pages, typed: Helene Margaret, May 13, 1929. (2) "Fire" 2 pages, undated; (3) "The Bridge Player"; and (4) "Snowfall", 3 pages. Whether these poems are her personal typed copies is unknown. However, "Shake Hand Forever" dated here May 13, 1929, is before her work was published in leading poetry magazines. Bound in light brown cloth lettered in green, spine lettering green, some darkening to pastedowns, in light brown decorative dust jacket lettered and decorated in dark brown, light wear to corners and spine darkened.
