Limited Edition: 'Two hundred and fifty copies of this book were printed for Thomas Nast Fairbanks by John Henry Nash.' Inside the book is something I didn't see any of the other sellers referencing. I've provided a photograph. It's a card of sorts with a drawing of the two children of Thomas Nast Fairbanks in front of a fireplace and the card reads 'Elizabeth Tingle Fairbanks And Thomas Nast Fairbanks Jr. And Their Parents Wish You A Very Merry Christmas 1918.' There is nothing on the other side. The covers of the book are in nice condition. There's one thin (I guess you'd call it) crease on the front and rear cover. The small black lettering on the spine is bright. There are several small indents on the spine, only a slight bit of wear at the spine ends. This a little bit of toning off the top edges of the front and rear. The edges and corners are in very good shape. The book looks pretty square and the spine pretty straight. The binding is solid from cover to cover. The middle page edges are deckled or rough-cut. There are five blank front end papers, two pairs are uncut. All the rest of the pages, all the text pages, and the six blank rear end papers, are all cut/separated. There are 13 numbered pages. They're very clean. There's a tiny nick/crease at the top edge of the title page and the next page, A Note on Smoking. No tear or anything like that, quite minor. There are few crinkles on a few pages, no conspicuous creasing. Some of the rough-cut middle edges are a little rougher cut than others, some are quite smooth. There are no markings in the book. No one has written their name or anything else anywhere. A small bookplate on the front inside cover is the only attachment. It's the bookplate of a Mac Martin. I have listed two other William Makepeace Thackeray limited editions (The End Of the Book Play & Fairy Days) with his bookplate. He was a professor at the University of Minnesota and the 'co-founder of the Better Business Bureau. He was a nationally renowned leader in truth in advertising in the early part of this century. His greatest contribution was his leadership in the development of a self-regulatory agency in Minneapolis, through which business could police dishonesty in advertising and selling, an agency later to be internationally known as the Better Business Bureau. This first agency remains the basic model of Better Business Bureau work across the nation and internationally. Known to all as the dean of the Minneapolis advertising industry, Martin was the owner of a highly regarded advertising agency and was the author of numerous advertising campaigns that gained national attention.' He was inducted into the Advertising Hall Of Fame in 1962, four years after his passing. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 004153
