Red boards with gilt Chinese titles on spine. Boards have slight bowing on tips and there is some light edge and corner wear. Boards and foredges have some dark areas caused by soot as though the book was at one time exposed to fire. Scan gives a good idea of how this affects the covers. Interior is unaffected and there is no odor. Book is square and the binding is secure. Cleaning has removed some of the affected areas. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; Large collection of black and white paintings by Chinese Old Masters. All text is in Chinese, so I cannot be very specific. Nice collection of facsimiles of Chinese art. Some earlier and much smaller softcover volumes of these works seem to have been done in the 1950's.
