First edition first printing hardback, written with the co-operation of Lieutenant-Colonel H. G. Hasler and with a foreword by The Earl Mountbatten Of Burma, 1956, with the original jacket. In overall very good used condition in a poor dust jacket with minor signs of age, handling and storage - dust jacket chipped and rubbed to edges, front flap missing (now protected); boards clean and crisp. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text, diagrams, maps to endpapers and illustrations bright and clear throughout.
