Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Roger Connor has curated the Vertical Flight and Instrument and Avionics collections at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum since 2002. As a former multi-engine and instrument airplane instructor and private pilot examiner for Great Britain’s CAA, he has accumulated nearly 4,000 flight hours in land planes, sea planes, and helicopters. Dik Alan Daso is curator of modern military aircraft at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. He also is co-curator for The Price of Freedom: Americans at War, a permanent exhibition at the National Museum of American History that opened in November 2004.
