First UK Edition. Publisher's black boards with gilt lettering to the spine. About VG copy (dirty top edge and to the left-hand edge of the front pastedown and the right-hand edge of the rear paste-down) in a VG dustwrapper that is not price-clipped. The dustwrapper is worn and creased at the head of the spine and with some foxing/minor marks to the verso suggesting that this book may have been in a damp environment at some time in its life. Looks nicer than it sounds. Quite an uncommon book in our experience. Great photographic-style front panel. The basis for the 1960's BBC TV series in the UK. Photographs/scans available upon request.
