BAL's State A with no printer's imprint on copyright page, no priority. vi, 234 pp. Bound in publisher's dark olive cloth with red and black stamping. Near Fine with trivial wear at tips, a little rubbing to red on spine, former owner's name stamped on paste down and front free endpaper. A sharp, attractive copy. In much nicer shape then generally found. The first book publication of the black-humor classic The Devil's Dictionary, which began as a series of newspaper columns.
