It is square with the bottom front corners lightly bumped and no edge dings; there is modest edge wear on the bottom edge of each board. Head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with no fabric damage. Front cover and spine have modest general wear. Except for an penciled name scrawled twice on the front paste down, the interior is completely free of writing and stray marks; several dozen pages have small, unobtrusive smudge-type stains, mostly in the margins; and page 183-184 has a 2-1/2" closed tear.
