First U.S. edition in its original jacket with a large area of loss at the top of the spine. Loss to all corners of the jacket and wear to the edges. There are, oddly, three different names penned on the cover verso each with the year 1945. Pages 64-65 have a newspaper article laid in entitled Flowers of City All regarding a book about Virginia Woolf s London,that has yellowed the two pages. On the back of the jacket someone has penned out of print next to the listed title of her book The Waves . There is also a penned quote on the verso of the back cover which I find difficult to read and another laid in pencil marked article entitled the Art Of Biography by Woolf.
