Considered a great classic by the Hungarian playwright Ferenc [Neumann]. This is a novelization of the dramatic production staged by theatrical manager Henry W. Savage (1859-1927). It was wildly popular and had revivals and several film versions. Often in reperatory today. A Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Red cloth binding with ruling and titling in black. Tipped on to the front cover is a photograph of Dr. Millar tipping his tophat. Clean text; 189 pages, with two pages of publisher's adverts in the rear.
