Extremities of boards a trifle scuffed, title leaf very slightly discolored at edges, else a very good, clean copy. Second edition, considerably enlarged from the first edition of 1759 with the addition of several more discourses. Includes an account of the Academy and College of Philadelphia, proposed as the "College of Mirania" and today the University of Pennsylvania. On page 128, second sequence, is a full-page manuscript list, in a neat hand, of "The Names of the Gentlemen who receiv'd Degrees at that first Anniversary Commencement."
