This 324 pp. book is a FIRST EDITION of this Kentucky classic, that is #1717, in Coleman's "BIBLIOGRAPHY OF KENTUCKY HISTORY". It is written all in Southern dialect, spelled as spoken, in the 1860's.The subtitle, thus is ".Bein A Perfect Record Uv The Ups, Downs, And Experiences Uv The Dimocrisy, Doorin The Eventful Year 1867,Ez Seen By A Naturalized Kentuckian". Interspersed are a few steel plate engravings by the renowned cartoonist of the period, Thomas Nast. Internally, the book is clean & tight. Externally, the book has rounded corners & a worn bottom spine-edge, AND a 1" "V" shaped piece is missing from the top spine edge.
