Full Black Calf Leather with five raised band gilt hand tooled compartments , red leather/ gilt title slip. blind blocked decoration to both boards in 18th century style, nonpareil marbled made end papers, head and tail bands. xx + 452 pp all illustrations as called for being engraved plates, chapter head and tail pieces, arms and shields of subjects. Red borders to text, with red/ blue ornaments and decorative initial letters to some chapters. Limited edition of 250 copies with list of subscribers. A scarce book. The only copies extant that we can find at time of listing are 12 in the national/ university/ museum/ royal collections.
