Beschreibung

The biographies are reprintings of the obituaries as they appeared in The Times, and include George Eliot (pp 11-16), Garibaldi (pp 80-96), General Gordon (pp 159-175) and Victor Hugo (pp 177-189). Mushroom-brown cloth-covered boards, bevelled and with black decoration, gilt crest to front board, gilt titles to spine, 341 pages, 4 pages of advertisements. Additional obituaries and similar material- newspaper cuttings- laid in to rear, (once secured by a paper clip). These include Boris Pasternak, Rose Macaulay and Augustus John. Condition: Boards a little worn, binding pulled slightly in one place. The paper clip has left rust stains to the rear end paper. Bestandsnummer des Verk�ufers 4784

Standard shipping terms:

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 1 Kg (2.24 lb). Books weighing between 1 and 2 kg can be sent within UK via courier or Standard Parcels at the standard postage rates. If your book order is heavy (more than 2 kg for UK customers, more than 1 kg for customers outside the UK), I may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. NOTE that I charge the same shipping cost to all EU countries, but the ABE system makes this rather difficult to set up; if you are ordering from an EU country not on the shipping costs list and so are charged the general International postage rate, I will refund the difference when processing your order.
