Boards heavily rubbed; surface wrinkled in large patches; corners bumped; ends of spine crushed and with small tears; cloth worn through for about 2 cm on rear joint of Vol I. Endpapers heavily toned. Pencil inscription on front free endpaper of Vol II; spots and marks on a few pages of both volumes but generally clean. A few pages corners lightly creased in Vol I.
