In original light blue boards with gold and black lettering and decoration. Contains 120 chromo views (beautiful full color illustrations) of Iconic English city, rural and nature scenes. Octavo. 8 x 6.25 . Full page edge gilding. Heavy paper stock with tissue guards preceding plates. Each illustration is 4 3/4 inches by 3 1/8 inches (small postcard sized). Scenes depicted are of London (24 chromos), the English Lakes (12), Scarborough (12), Brighton (12), City of Oxford (12), the Isle of Wight (24), the Island of Jersey (24). Condition: VERY GOOD antiquarian condition. Gilded edges intact. Rubbed boards, corners are bumped, spine tips rubbed and starting to fray, areas of spiking, front hinge a little weak, endpapers foxing and darkening. Gift inscription in ink on half-title page.
