Engraved title-page and 49 plates, two with original colouring. First Edition. Small folio. [316 x 223 x 19 mm]. Bound in the original Roxburghe-style quarter olive-green goatskin, red paper boards, spine lettered in gilt, untrimmed edges. (Expert repairs to joints, edges of the boards rubbed). A very good copy with Proof impressions of the plates which are unusually free of foxing. Two bookplates have been discreetly removed. Acquired with the Roy Porter collection in 2002.
