Bound in the original Roxburghe-style quarter olive-green goatskin, red paper boards, spine lettered in gilt, untrimmed edges. (Expert repairs to joints, edges of the boards rubbed). A very good copy with Proof impressions of the plates which are unusually free of foxing. Two bookplates have been discreetly removed. Acquired with the Roy Porter collection in 2002. Although quite badly foxed, this is a rare work.
