Scarce provincial chapbook/pamphlet printed in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1813. 30pp. Life Story of the author including loss of two estates, near drowning, death sentence in China and finally reduced to writing and selling copies of his life story after being bitten by a dog in Heckington and unable to continue as an itinerant book seller. Neat modern rebind in paper boards with cloth spine and paper title to front board. Contemporary owner's name and date written at top of title page 'J Kiddale(?) 1813'.
