Illustriert mit |10 zartkolorierten Tafeln und einem Frontispiz|; sie zeigen sehr deutliche, phallus-orientierte Szenen mit viel Sinn für Humor. Die Kapitelanfänge sind mit 4 in goldgepr. Vignetten geschmückt; sie zeigen wie das Titelblatt dickliche Putten, die alles andere als geschlechtslos sind. Die Illustrationen werden |A. Collot| zugeschrieben. Laut Pia handelt es sich um einen Text aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, der sich in der Sammlung von Pierre Louÿs befand und hier zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht wurde. Kanten des Schubers stärker berieben. Illustrated with 10 delicately coloured plates and a frontispiece; they show very clear, phallus-oriented scenes with a great sense of humour. The beginnings of the chapters are decorated with 4 vignettes in gilt; like the title page, they show chubby putti who are anything but sexless. The illustrations are attributed to A. Collot. According to Pia, this is a text from the 18th century, which was in the collection of Pierre Louÿs and was published here for the first time. Edges of the slipcase strongly rubbed.
