Small 8vo. Green cloth with black spine lettering/decoration. 275pp. Very good. While internally tight and bright and a superb near fine, the binding shows quite mild edgewear only. A sharp first edition of this "Crime Club" mystery, whose title page notes "A murderer framed an alibi so clever that it could only be broken by the stars!" Author actually was an Alabama physician by the name of James William McQueen (1900-54) and penned a handful of other mysteries, some with a medical them such as "Murder in the Surgery" and others with provocative titles such as "Sex Is Such Fun."
