A fine copy in maroon cloth boards with silver and gilt spine lettering and three crosses embossed on the front panel and with gray endpapers in a fine dustwrapper, square and tight, with slight shading to the upper spine. The book takes place in France over the course of one week during World War II when the troops on either side decide to stop fighting.
