Red cloth Boards with gilt blocked titles to front, 230 x 150 mm approx. Top edge gilt others uncut, [x] + 124 pp Frontis + 3 other b'w plates with captioned guards as called for. Privately printed by T and A Constable for the author, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and late House Governor of Donaldson's Hospital Edinburgh. The book comprises articles on persons and subjects of interest to him and the subject of his extensive researches and published as being of interest to others. The book block is printed on heavy hand made paper stock and would have been very costly to have published. It is likely therefore to have had a very small print run.
