Beschreibung
A well-preserved first edition of this account of the Royal Navy at sea by Rudyard Kipling. Most renowned for 'The Jungle Book', 'Kim' and 'Just so Stories', Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) is seen as a pioneer for the short story form and a classic author of children's fiction. He was born in India, the inspiration behind a vast amount of his writings, which include 'The Jungle Book', 'Just So Stories' and 'Kim'. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907, becoming the youngest ever recipient and first English language writer to do so.'A Fleet in Being' is a series of military articles on the subject of the Royal Navy in 1898.In the publisher's original paper wrap bindings with a pictorial cover. In paper wraps. Externally generally smart, a touch of discolouration to the front board and spine, with some loss to the paper of the tail of the spine and a chip to the head. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 752R55
