Cole, Henry Wade, John Rode, Milward Kennedy, Ronald Knox, Edgar Jepson, Clemence Dane, Anthony Berkley - the group had come up with a story and then one author would write a chapter, give it to the next author who would have to continue the story), published by UK publisher Hodder & Stoughton, copyright/published 1931 (undated on the copyright & title page - there was a 2nd printing that stated as such on the copyright page, this book preceded the Doubleday Doran U.S. edition in 1932), white endpapers, light bluish tweed cloth boards with black lettering on spine & front board. THIS BOOK IS ONE OF A MERE HANDFUL OF AGATHA CHRISTIE UK PUBLISHED BOOKS THAT WASN'T PUBLISHED BY HER PRIMARY PUBLISHER COLLINS - VERY RARE BOOK AND EVEN RARER IN ORIGINAL DUST JACKET. Book has just one or two creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used book store marks/stamps/stickers inside, small faint moisture marks to top/bottom to endpapers otherwise clean endpapers with no scotch tape staining or markings (hint of age darkening lines/foxing), no foxing to pages, slight dust soiling/foxing/age darkening to outer page edges, no spine splits, no spine lean, no wear to board edges or corners, no spine splits, no dust soiling/discoloration to panels, tiny bumped board corner. Dust Jacket has chipping at spine tips and along top edge on panel with related closed tears/creasing next to the top edge chipping, otherwise no chipping or tearing or creasing, slight wear to front flap crease (primarily at corners), light dust soiling to this all-white dust jacket, no spine fading/darkening, faint moisture mark to spine otherwise no soiling or staining. Overall a FINE- book in VG- condition dust jacket of an scarce 1930s era UK 1st Agatha Christie related printing with original DJ.
