Rare antique 1885 copy of, "Fly-Rods and Fly-Tackle, Suggestions as to Their Manufacture and Use." The book is overall in very good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some light wear with some mild staining to the back cover. The binding is good and sound. There is a penciled name inscription to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age but mostly nice and clean, though there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, light bit of foxing, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Revised Edition. The cover has green cloth with black letters and an illustration. 448 pages; 11 chapters; b/w frontispiece; b/w figures; index. The frontispiece is a b/w photo of the author. The cover is poor condition: The spine strip is a mottled brown. The front board has scrapes and stains; the back board is less thus, but two corners each have a water stain. Five of the board edges each have thread bare spots, 1/12 in. to a linear 7/8 in. The text block ends have darkened. A 1 7/8 in. line of light stain is on the foredge. The front endpaper's fold is split; the hinge below remains tight. Scans e-mailed upon request.
