The book of travel in the US and the South America. The gaze of a Japanese on the life, customs, people, religion etc. First chapter describes coffee plantation. Second - San Francisco. The author has special interest in the religious question: protestants, catholics and mormons. The cities on his way are Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Washington DC, New York. And he is coming back visiting London and Paris in Europe. Five plates engraved: coffee tree, Niagara falls, Westside elevated rail road in the NYC, Brooklyn bridge, St. Patrick cathedral on the 5th Avenue. Also folding world map. The author is unknown, but possibly he is a missionary person. No copies at the OCLC. Brown cloth spine on the paper board cover. Spine scratching and the cover stained. Both hinges are cracked but still intact. Occasional browning on the content. Otherwise the book is still in very good condition. 19 x 12,3 cm. 1 leaf of errata. 202p. Text in Japanese.
