Black cloth on boards with gilt lettering on spine. Book is tight, square and relatively sharp-cornered with no markings inside. Some minor scuffing to top and bottom of spine and some wear on front cover. Unclipped Dust Jacket shows original price of $3.00 and has good bright colors on front, nice crisp charcoal portrait of author on verso, and somewhat faded spine. Top and bottom of spine on DJ is scuffed and chipped. Open tear to top of front flap where it meets front. See photos. Michelson was chief publicist and speech writer to Franklin Roosevelt and one of the most important Democrats for years. Multiple attractive and well done political cartoons and drawings inside.
