First Edition thus this last leaf listing Board of Directors for 1853. Octavo. Red cloth over boards with blindstamped design and gilt lettering. The biography of Mr. Girard, the history of the institution, its organization and plan of discipline, with the course of education, forms of admission of pupils, description of the buildings, etc. Very good, light discoloration to cover, ownership inscription on front free end page, frontice tissue closed torn on edge, title page closed torn at bottom, timetoned with mild foxing.
