First edition, 1st printing (so stated). Original Dutch blue cloth (light blue V, less common than title red cloth). NEAR FINE+ (no names, bookplates, remainder marks, or writing of any kind, etc.), with about NEAR FINE slightly worn, 2 tiny chips, a small closed tear, and very minor creasing to price-clipped first state dust jacket. The special provenance for this book comes from the Carl Petersen Collection [A23.2d] as exactly listed in Catalogue 48 from Serendipity Books, where we acquired it from Peter Howard in the 1990's.
