In a very good dust jacket, with mild yellowing and rubbing, and a number of shallow closed and open tears in the edges. Vardis Fisher's greatest impact as a writer resulted from the many western novels he published, however he was also an English teacher periodically throughout his career, influencing such students as the important western writer, Wallace Stegner.
