A reasonable hardback first English edition, but lacking the dust jacket. The green cloth on the spine has an area of paler discolouration, and there is creasing, rubbing and tearing at both the head and tail of the spine. There is a private ownership book plate (Basil Clark) on the first of the 2 front free endpapers. The binding is firm and the contents are clean. Overall, a reasonable hardback first edition without a jacket, but with some shelf wear (including discolouration and rubbing) to the spine. This item will be properly packed.
